TNO test results: Freebac tested against a leading brand of silver-peroxide

De Jong ECOservices was founded in 1997 by Mike de Jong. Prior to this he had worked for many years with a number of companies involved in stabilised hydrogen peroxide.

In the 80’s/early 90’s stabilised peroxides were very new and there was very little information & test results available. Initially, stabilised peroxides were mainly used to solve problem cases:  persistant problems with (resistant) micro-organisms which standard chemicals such as chlorine, quats, bromide, chlorine dioxide, etc, failed to solve. In all cases  stabilised peroxide eradicated the problem.

We have been involved with stabilised hydrogen peroxide /silver stabilised hydrogen peroxide for nearly 20 years in a wide range of applications. Over the years, most of the silver-peroxide/stabilised peroxide manufacturers have hired us to provide technical support for their product.

Over the years we have accumulated a huge amount  of technical knowledge as well as literature (tests, brochures, etc) on these products. We have a profound understanding of the capabilities as well as the limitations of the various types of stabilised peroxide and their effect on micro-organisms, biofilm etc..

Up to 3 years ago, we were intensely involved with silver-peroxide. One of the main problem with silver peroxide (which is derived from silver nitrate and not colloidal silver) is the silver and we always had grave doubts about this. The other main problem in that in the presence of chlorites, the silver drops out of the solution making the product useless - and this happens quite a lot. For this reason we have always been keeping an eye out for new developments. This happened in the way of FREEBAC and after 1 year of testing FREEBAC we decided that it should be promoted in favour of silver peroxide. The reason is that in all our testing and applications it performed better, didn’t have the drawbacks of silver peroxide and was a more flexible product.

What do we do:

- We provide a technical consultancy service in which we solve problems effectively using “common sense”.

- Water treatment, Legionella control, risk assessment, lake regeneration, slugde treatment

- Worldwide sale of FREEBAC

- Worldwide sale of UMAX-V     - Reduces heating costs by 10 - 20% by increasing heat uptake of water in radiator systems.

- Worldwide sale of DBug         - Range of products based on bacteria and enzymes.

We aim promote and provide reliable and trustworthy information on stabilised peroxides.
